The Diploma is organised by a web of Universities with ERASMUS mobility agreements with LUMSA, in Rome.

The Diploma is coordinated by Prof. José Meirinhos (Universidade do Porto, Portugal).

In 2011-2012 the Diploma celebrated his 20th anniversary.

The courses are taught in Italian, with English and French used as supporting languages.

II. Research Project: 20 UC (ECTS)

In order to help the students develop as scholars according to the rigorous European demands, the FIDEM Diploma includes a final research project (20 ECTS), which is equivalent to the projects requested at the students’ home universities. This project, which needs to result in a publishable piece of work, will be supervised by a professor at the student’s home university in collaboration with a professor who has taught the FIDEM course in Rome. The final project will be evaluated by a committee of at least two experts in the field chosen by the student.

Total UC: 60 (ECTS)
