The Fédération Internationale des Instituts d’Etudes Médiévales (FIDEM) was created in 1987, with the following main objectives:
REPRESENT
To efficiently represent our member Institutes and Centres among national and international organizations.
SUPPORT
To scientifically, morally and financially support research in medieval studies.
EXCHANGE
To organize information exchange.
CONCERT
To further coordinate action in relation to teaching programmes and major research projects.
ENCOURAGE
To encourage meetings between researchers and to facilitate exchanges among lecturers, speakers, researchers and students.
