I Hispano-Portuguese Congress on Palaeography and Diplomatics
The First Hispano-Portuguese Congress on Palaeography and Diplomatics – Signa, sigilla et rubricationes, an international academic meeting will be held online on 22 May 2026. The congress is jointly organised by the University of Coimbra, the Complutense University of Madrid, and the Portuguese Society for Medieval Studies (Sociedade Portuguesa de Estudos Medievais). Its main aim is to foster academic exchange among scholars working in the fields of palaeography, diplomatics, and sigillography, coming from different historiographical traditions and at various stages of their academic careers.
